How to use this tool
Start capture and write with the pen inside the canvas.
Rest your hand naturally only if the device is designed for pen use.
Observe pen events, touch events and any simultaneous delivered contacts.
Stop and repeat with the same settings before comparing another device.
Read the result correctly
The browser reports contacts that survive device, driver and operating-system filtering. A delivered touch while a pen is down is an overlap observation, not automatically an unwanted palm activation. A missing touch may indicate filtering, lack of simultaneous input support or browser limitations. The page displays pointer types separately and does not invent hidden contacts. Compare behaviour in the drawing application you actually use, since it may handle touch differently.
Limits and troubleshooting
This cannot certify palm rejection, measure the size of your palm or inspect contacts discarded before the browser receives them. Pen hover is different from pen-down contact and does not count as an active writing contact here. Capturing is confined to the canvas, with browser touch gestures suppressed there while active. Stop and hiding the tab clear active contacts. No contacts are recorded outside the page or sent to a server.
Privacy and control
Device previews, recordings, selected files and report notes stay in your browser. Downloaded files remain on your device. Network tests send generated probes to GearCheck Lab. DNS lookup sends your requested public domain name and type to our server and the Cloudflare public resolver only after you start a query. Local recordings, drawings, files, device names and battery logs are not uploaded. Ordinary page requests and usage measurement are described in our privacy policy.
