How to use this tool
Start capture and draw with an active pen inside the canvas.
Stop capture to finish the sample before replaying.
Replay at the recorded relative timing or clear the sample.
Export the JSON if you need to compare another pen or setting.
Read the result correctly
Each captured point includes its position within the canvas, relative time, pointer type and browser-reported pressure and tilt. Stroke width visualizes reported pressure and is not a physical force measurement. Replay follows recorded timestamps, so delayed browser events can affect apparent timing. The sample is bounded to 60 seconds or 10,000 points. Resizing the page clears the sample to avoid silently comparing different coordinate systems. Export records observed input rather than a calibrated pen accuracy score.
Limits and troubleshooting
Not all devices expose pen pressure or tilt. Mouse input is identified rather than passed off as an active pen. This tool does not modify tablet drivers, replace calibration software or establish physical pen latency. The drawing stays in this tab until exported or cleared. Stop, hiding the tab and leaving end capture and replay; no drawing or pointer history is uploaded.
Privacy and control
Device previews, recordings, selected files and report notes stay in your browser. Downloaded files remain on your device. Network tests send generated probes to GearCheck Lab. DNS lookup sends your requested public domain name and type to our server and the Cloudflare public resolver only after you start a query. Local recordings, drawings, files, device names and battery logs are not uploaded. Ordinary page requests and usage measurement are described in our privacy policy.
