Check whether scrolling and zoom-style gestures reach this browser. Start capture, keep the pointer inside the test surface, then compare vertical scroll, horizontal scroll and a supported pinch gesture.

How to run this test
Start capture and keep your pointer inside the grid. Ordinary page scrolling remains available outside the test area.
Use two fingers to scroll up and down, then left and right. Watch the separate horizontal and vertical event counters.
Try a pinch gesture if your device and browser support it. Some browsers deliver pinch as Ctrl-modified wheel events; ordinary Ctrl+wheel can produce the same signal.
Stop capture before reviewing the raw deltas and recent event log. Reset to compare another connection, browser or trackpad setting.
Understand your results
The counters record browser wheel events with nonzero horizontal or vertical components. One event can increment both scroll counters. Zoom-style events are counted separately when the Ctrl modifier is present. The last delta includes its own unit: pixels, lines or pages. Values in different delta modes should not be added or compared as physical movement. The marker is a direction illustration with fixed visual steps, not a distance, sensitivity or precision measurement. Pointer presses identify what the browser reported, without claiming that it can distinguish every trackpad model.
Measurement limits and troubleshooting
A browser cannot reliably identify whether every wheel event came from a trackpad, mouse, driver or accessibility software. Ctrl+wheel and pinch can be indistinguishable, and operating-system three- or four-finger shortcuts may never reach a page. Missing zoom events can mean unsupported mapping rather than broken hardware. This tool does not disable browser zoom outside the active capture surface, inspect firmware, or certify gesture accuracy. A focus change stops capture so separate sessions are not silently merged. Touchscreen pointer events are not proof of a trackpad gesture.
Questions about this tool
Why does pinch show no events?
The browser or operating system may reserve the gesture or expose it through another mechanism. Compare ordinary scrolling and another supported browser before assuming a hardware problem.
Why are mouse events also recorded?
Wheel events are shared browser interfaces. This tool records the signal that arrives; it cannot reliably classify the physical device from that signal alone.
