How to use this tool
Connect both controllers and press a button on each to expose them.
Choose different devices for the left and right panels.
Start polling and move the same control on each device slowly.
Stop before changing connections or selecting another pair.
Read the result correctly
Axis and button values are shown directly from the Gamepad API. Devices with different mappings can put similar physical controls at different indices, so read their mapping labels before comparing. The page reports axis differences only when both devices expose that index; missing indices remain unavailable. Simultaneous sampling in this page helps keep browser conditions comparable but does not establish electrical timing equality. Repeat with each controller untouched before interpreting neutral differences.
Limits and troubleshooting
This does not calibrate either device, standardize different controller models or prove which hardware is faulty. Driver settings, game deadzones, connection mode and controller firmware affect reported values. The page sends no rumble or remapping commands. A disconnect or hidden tab ends polling, and the two chosen indices must be different. No gamepad identifiers or measurements are uploaded.
Privacy and control
Device previews, recordings, selected files and report notes stay in your browser. Downloaded files remain on your device. Network tests send generated probes to GearCheck Lab. DNS lookup sends your requested public domain name and type to our server and the Cloudflare public resolver only after you start a query. Local recordings, drawings, files, device names and battery logs are not uploaded. Ordinary page requests and usage measurement are described in our privacy policy.
