How to use this tool
Name session A and B and describe what changed.
Enter comparable numeric values using the same units.
Review absolute and percentage differences; leave untested fields empty.
Download the JSON report or import a previously downloaded report.
Read the result correctly
The comparison shows B minus A for each field with two valid numbers. Percentage change is that difference divided by the absolute A value; when A is zero, percentage is unavailable. Lower values are preferable for delay and dropped-frame percentage, while higher cadence may be desirable; the tool does not assign an overall device score. Missing fields remain not tested. Manually entered values are not independently verified. Include the same test duration, server path and workload in your notes so comparisons remain useful.
Limits and troubleshooting
These are observations and calculations, not a diagnosis or a warranty assessment. Different displays and browsers can cap frame rate differently. Imported JSON is processed locally, limited to 100 KiB and rendered as text rather than HTML. Only supported fields are accepted. There is no automatic collection of other apps or background hardware data.
Privacy and control
Device previews, recordings, selected files and report notes stay in your browser. Downloaded files remain on your device. The call check sends small HTTP probes to GearCheck Lab. The WebRTC test exchanges temporary connection descriptions through our server and contacts the disclosed STUN service only after you create or join a session. Ordinary page requests and usage measurement are described in our privacy policy.
